Heart ❤️ and Lungs ๐Ÿซ journey ! 2025

 


Praise story time !  


Good morning everyone. Here is my story Limiting salt and sodium intake is beneficial for overall health, even for those without heart disease or congenital heart conditions. Lately, it has been a challenging few weeks as I frequented restaurants too often, which my cardiologist advises limiting to two or three times a month. It is easy to accumulate fluid on my heart ❤️ and lungs ๐Ÿซ. Cooking at home is the healthiest option, as you are in control. I recently experienced a significant accumulation of fluid, reaching a concerning level of 147. Fortunately, my medical team managed my condition at home, avoiding the need for emergency room admission, for which I am grateful. Throughout the year, I successfully avoided hospitalization. Following my doctor's guidance, I achieved a weight of 137, which is four pounds above my target, but considered a safe range by Dr. K. Prior to this, he mentioned that this weight was acceptable. I feel invigorated, with a spring in my step! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿ™thank you all for prayers and supportive thoughts ๐Ÿ’ญ!!!


It’s been so challenging & scary I had peace through Jesus  bringing me through. I’m so thankful still working hard at it.   
Sometimes I have to say Lord this is all for you for your glory and let me show others what you can do !!!   





Low-sodium oven -bake chicken legs !

Tonight Cheff Rob and I made dinner ๐Ÿฝ️ together !”   

I have been craving chicken legs and broccoli ๐Ÿฅฆ cauliflower & brown rice ๐ŸŒพ.   My sugar intake does very well with serving size portion brown rice ๐ŸŒพ.  

 My recipe 

Wash the chicken. ๐Ÿ—.  Legs. And then put them in the tray.  Rob baked it first so all the juices can cook ๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ together !” 

Set the oven. 350*.    A good hour and half !

 Then I got the pan of water ๐Ÿ’ง.  Broccoli ๐Ÿฅฆ cauliflower melody. 

Diced onions brown rice ๐ŸŒพ.  Let it all cook together !”  

Then we check the chicken  and take it out and added the rice and chicken back on top.  Oven again for a few minutes:) it was so juicy and tender. !   ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Salmon ๐Ÿฃ with lemon ๐Ÿ‹ butter sauce !

 


Hi heart everyone !!   


This was a hit for Rob & me! Today, I created a fantastic Monday meal - salmon with butter, lemon sauce over whole wheat pasta! My recipe is a labor of love. I cooked the salmon with oil and butter in the pan, then added slices of fresh lemon. After removing the skin from the back of each piece, I cooked it on medium heat. In another pan, I cooked pasta in water with a dash of oil until it was al dente. My sauce is a beautiful blend of butter, oil, and lemon juice, which makes it incredibly saucy as it cooks - it’s amazingly easy! I added a splash of water to the pan and some cherry tomatoes, covering the pan until they were cooked. ๐ŸŒพ 



 �My recipe  

�I cooked the salmon with oil butter in the pan. And added the lemon  slices �Then I took the skin of the back of each one  �cooked it on medium then another pan with pasta water  till cooked  I like to add a dash of oil in my my pasta water  �My sauce is butter  oil. Lemons ๐Ÿ‹  the juice makes it more saucy as it cooks it’s very very easy  I added some water in the pan as well !  !  I add my cherry tomatoes  cover. Then i covered with lid till cooked.  �I cooked the salmon with oil butter in the pan. Rob and I. Ate out too many times we got caught up in going out Becusze we are just exhausted he works so long and hard as a fuel driver but it caught up with me Becusze I gained fluid weight back it was super high. Where it was so hard to breath and walk so I emailed my providers they tell me to take rxyra lasics the next few days I told them I took extra over the weekend my weight dropped back down getting closer to. My ideal weight so I need to keep better track and weigh daily and keep track in my note book ๐Ÿ“• it’s such a great plan for us heart ❤️ patients &  to have healthy eating habits  once in whip is okay for date nights. But it’s hard to find healthy options !!     So I love to watch. Food net work and mark down my food recipes and create them in my life’s style !   The more I stay on track I can be home with my hubby and friends and more time for Quilting !!!  

God shows me how to change recipes to make it work for me and hubby !”  It’s nicer now that hubby wants to be on low sugar and low salt ๐Ÿง‚ too it really benefits him as well !!!  He doesn’t have heart disease or diabetes but he wants a healthier heart ❤️ so he can work longer and take care of me !”  His words “   I love finding food items different brands have less sodium mg. 







Salmon ๐Ÿฃ is low sodium and lemons ๐Ÿ‹ are wonderful for diabetics too!   So is whole wheat pasta  slows down the sugar content in our bodies. I still love my carbs but in a healthier way. In of course moderation is the key !

Frozen shoulder exercises!!

 



I'm thrilled to share an update on my frozen shoulder pain - physical therapy sessions have been a game-changer for me! If you're experiencing frozen shoulder discomfort or pain that's making everyday tasks like getting dressed a challenge, I highly recommend finding a therapist who can work with you. My pain has decreased significantly and I'm now able to perform a wide range of motions on my own! ๐ŸŒŽ

Taco in a bowl ! You had me at tacos !๐ŸŒฎ๐ŸŒฎ๐ŸŒฎ

 



Embrace your weekend, everyone! I'm feeling revitalized after 8 hours of sleep with my new mask, ready to conquer the day! With a delicious and healthy meal of veggie beef shrimp tacos, corn on the cob on the side, I'm empowered to make today a success! My hubby will surely love it! ๐Ÿ˜Š With Taco Bell sauce, only 25 mg! My fave sauce! Total mg is 360! Low-carb shells are a game-changer. Taco bowls have 0 sodium and only 18 carbs, while taco shells have 130 mg & 19 carbs - a win-win situation for us! I can even opt for a taco in a bowl! ๐ŸŒฎ๐ŸŒฝ Total mg 360mg, perfect for our lifestyle. Project Linus Quilts !!! 2025 May quilts !

 




MI am thrilled to share that I have fewer hospital appointments this year, marking a triumphant one-year milestone since my high CO2 diagnosis, and I am grateful to have more time to dedicate to my charity quilts project, which brings me such  joy and fulfillment!
